Annual report 2014

Dear Colleagues!

We appreciate an opportunity to share with you results of GURT Resource Centre activities in 2014. This year was extremely difficult for every Ukrainian citizen whose charitable actions and volunteering without any exaggeration saved our country from the total destruction. Extraordinary raise of civic activism, solidarity and patriotism is very promising for civil society development from one side; from another side it brings huge challenge to civil society organizations on how capable we all are to utilize effectively great human potential of our country. Capacity to build constituency, to manage volunteers, and to raise funds from individuals become critical for ensuring sustainability of civil society organizations in the nearest future in Ukraine.

In 2014, GURT has increased and consolidated its information network of civic activists and community leaders, which now consists of above 15,000 members. In October 2015, GURT Resource Centre has its 20 years anniversary.

Our constituency respects and trusts us because of results we have produced so far, and which we can be proud of. Situation, which Ukrainian society is currently facing, does not allow us to celebrate but motivates us to work even harder pursuing further strengthening of civil society in Ukraine.
