Leaders of the national NGOs got acquainted with Estonian colleagues’ experience of establishing cooperation in public sector. Two-day training “NGO as a mover of social change: how do we increase our impact?” took place in Poltava (September 11-12) and Chernivtsi (September 14-15).
The events are a part of “Transform Gurt” project, implemented by GURT Resource Centre in partnership with Network of Estonian Nonprofit Organizations with the financial support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.
GURT Resource Centre invited the journalists-volunteers from five Eastern oblasts of Ukraine (Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, and Kharkiv) to deepen their communication skills. September 9-10, 2017, in the capital two-day workshop “Communication in journalism. Support of the networks for regional journalists of GURT” was conducted. This event was organized within the special media project “Information for conscious actions: hear the voice of people affected by the conflict in eastern Ukraine”, which is implemented by GURT Resource Centre and supported by the Media Development Fund of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
More than 1,500 people joined the photo flash mob #Community_is (#Hromada_tse), which took place on September 2nd, 2017, in five cities of eastern Ukraine – Berdyansk, Dnipro, Kramatorsk, Severodonetsk, and Kharkiv.

On June 1, 2017, the final part of All-Ukrainian skills contest in the profession “Installer of the sanitary and technical systems and equipment” was conducted in International Exhibition Center in Kyiv. The event was organized within four-year Swiss-Ukrainian project “Public-private partnership to improve sanitary education in Ukraine” funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in partnership with Geberit International Sales AG.
During 2016-2017, GURT Resource Centre carries out the project «Employment through Entrepreneurship«. The project aimed to increase income-generation of representatives of local communities from Kyiv oblast through the development of entrepreneurial skills and providing support for the development of their small businesses.
The target groups of the project were the veterans of ATO, members of their families, internally displaced persons and other vulnerable groups of the population of Kyiv oblast.
